Sam's new friends....

Thanks to everyone who spent some snuggle time with our Sam. He's a big fan of all of you, and so are we. = )

Sleeping Sam...

Just wanted to post this one real quick, well....because it's darn cute.

Sam has been putting his right arm behind his head during a few of his recent naps, and I actually remembered to grab the camera this time around.

Quick Pics...

Sam has been enjoying his bed and mobile these last few days, so I wanted to share the pics I was able to grab.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Busy weekend....

We just wrapped up a very busy weekend with Sam. He was such a trooper!

We baptized Max on Saturday and attended the big triple-threat party that night. Sam was a good boy through mass, the baptism, and the party. YEAH! He was a huge hit with all the gals at the party....big surprise, huh? ; ) He was full of smiles and got tons of snuggles and kisses from everyone that could get their hands on him.

So, we're back into our weekly groove as of this morning. I'm exhausted, but plan on taking a nap after this next feeding. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can actually pull it off...I have a tendency to start working on stuff around the house when he goes down. I am getting better about it, but not by much.

Here are some pics from last week and the weekend.

FYI...

We are changing cable/internet provider and don't have our modem yet, so we may not have internet access for a few days. RATS! I haven't lived without access in a loooong time, hope I can make it. *sigh....

Anyway, just wanted everyone to know that all is well here with the kiddo. Bran is home this morning for the installation and just gave Sam a bottle. Yummy.

He's still growing, trying to talk baby babble, and is still obsessed with the dark ceiling beams in the living room....really, anything dark on a white ceiling has him in a trance. Who knows it may mean he's going to be an architect or something? It's a very cool gig, don't you think. It gets two thumbs up from us. ; )

Have a great hump day!

Be back soon.

Grammie & Granpa Danny...

Sam had a visit from his Grammie & Granpa Danny (my parents) this weekend and was showered with lots of hugs and kisses. He showed them all the new things he's learning and they were totally impressed....of course.

He turned 1 month on Saturday, so we celebrated by going out to dinner. Sam slept through the trip there, the meal, and the trip home. YEAH!!!

It was definitely nice to get out. Now that he's met this milestone, we'll be venturing out more. Not sure I want to do it in this triple digit heat, so we'll plan for morning or late evening excursions for now. Another plus, as we begin to venture out, is the fact that he's heavy enough for the Baby Bjorn. Brandon gave it a go this weekend and it was a huge hit with the kiddo. It's going to be such a help as I move around during the day....can't wait to get him strapped in for a walk on the treadmill with me. = )

As always, here are some pics from the weekend. Hope everyone out there has a decent work week. We'll chat again soon.

Sam's first photo session....

WOW!

Sam had a photo session with Mollie, who is in the photo business, and here the results follow....they are absolutely beeeeauuuuuutiful!

Mollie is such a pro and has such a sweet, patient nature with little ones. Check out her work beyond our Sam....the work speaks for itself.

She comes highly recommended from this new family....can't wait to do a cake smash session with her on his first birthday!!!

Sam did quite a number on her throws and blankets when all was said and done. He hasn't been neked that long since he was born and the cool air seemed to get things going....but it's all good....and all washable. ; )

Hope you are all having a good weekend. We'll check back soon.

Thanks again to Miss Mollie....you ROCK!

Play day...

Sam had a much better day today. YEAH! for both of us.

We read Shel Silverstein this morning and spent some time on the activity mat on loan from my cousin Ashley. She's really come up big for us...the swing, now the mat...can't say thank you enough.

Sam spent 40 minutes on the mat before he finally tired out and wanted a nap. We got all of his favorite items hanging within his reach and he ended up grabbing on to a few of them before it was all said and done. I was a proud momma.

I also set up a CD player in his room and we listened to the CD that was gifted to us from little Alex. His mom put together all of his favorite sleepy-time songs for us and it was a big hit today. Thanks again to the both of them for being so thoughtful.

Here are a few pics I was able to grab during play time on the mat. Enjoy!

Feeding frenzy...

Hi, folks. Sorry it's been a few days since I posted. We're all ok here....just going through a growth spurt which basically has me feeding on demand, and let me tell you....Sam knows how to issue demands. ; )

We went to the doctor again this past Friday to address a few issues that cropped up during the week....nothing to worry about though. He's all good and weighed 7 1/2 lbs! That's a weight gain of 2 ounces a day! Can you believe it? His doc was very happy and said the more weight the better....so we're staying the course. His belly is already pretty impressive....I'm going to work on getting a pic of it today for posting.

We had a pretty big weekend for us these days. My brother, Christopher, and his girlfriend, Holli, came up for a visit to meet Sam. Christopher was born when I was 13 years old, so I've always considered him my first baby...to see the two of them together was awesome.

Sam also got to meet his great-grandmother, Shirley. She's such a pro....she fed him and then he just snuggled on her in the midst of the party and all our cousins and snoozed the rest of the time. How she does it....I'll never know....she's got the touch and babies LOVE it.

I took the night off from feeding at the party and was able to hang out with the adults for a change. It was nice while it lasted, but reality took hold when I had to toss 4 ounces down the drain before going to bed. UUUUUGH!! Taking the night off also hit the milk bank pretty hard...I'm still trying to build it back up, but with this feeding frenzy going on....it's been tough. We'll get back on track though...don't you worry.

Here are some pics from the weekend. There will be more to come, so check back soon.

Bottle was a big hit....

Good news...the bottle was a big hit last night. YEAH!!

Brandon and Sam looked like they had done it a million times before. It was nice to see Brandon be able to spend that kind of time with Sam. Awwwwh.....they are quite the pair already...my handsome boys.

We are going to keep nursing during the day and early morning hours to make sure I keep producing what is needed to keep all this going, but Brandon is going to take two feedings a day for now....maybe the feeding before he leaves for work and the one when he gets home from work. We'll have to wait and see how the timing pans out...Sam is sleeping between 4 and 4 1/2 hours between the early AM feedings which can throw off the first 'day' feeding. Regardless, it's SO awesome to have some down time during meal time. Like I mentioned....my girls needed the rest...whew...

Anyway...enjoy this cloudy hump day and we'll check back in with you soon.
